Best Double Crust Apple Pie
Apple pie is an American favorite for a reason—and this traditional take on the pie is clearly one of the reasons. There’s nothing particularly groundbreaking or surprising about this recipe, but the result is an American classic! Get the recipe here.
Apple Pie with Crumb Topping
Our favorite is the Pioneer Woman’s Dreamy Apple Pie. The topping made of brown sugar, warm spices, chopped pecans and butter will leave you dreaming about this pie for sure! Get the recipe here.
Skillet Apple Pie
This recipe has a couple of things going for it: it’s simple and straightforward, and it’s delicious! Made in a cast iron skillet, this pie uses refrigerated pie crust (which let’s just be honest, you can use for any of the recipes we’ve mentioned in this article) that’s placed on top of a delicious, caramel mixture of butter and brown sugar. Baked for about an hour in the oven, skillet apple pie is always a hit! Get the recipe here.
Salted Caramel Apple Pie
Brown Eyed Baker remains one of our favorite baking blogs, and this recipe might be one of the reasons. It’s basically layers of apples with a homemade salted caramel sauce between flaky crusts. What’s not to like? Get the recipe here.

Apple Slab Pie
Looking to feed a crowd? This slab pie might be your go-to recipe. Using an all butter crust, delicious seasoned apples and a simple glaze, the Smitten Kitchen’s apple slab pie won’t disappoint! Get the recipe here.
