How to talk gooder fastly

Reminders to the grammatically challenged: • Who refers to people, not “that.” (i.e. the person who delivers the mail rather than the person that delivers the mail. • Impact is best used as a noun. Don’t use it as a verb, especially when you’re using it to mean affect. When you use impact as a verb, it means to pack firmly together or strike with a blow. So when you say, “So-and-So really impacted my life,” use affected or had an impact on, unless you mean that the person firmly packed you together or smacked you. • As a personal side note, I hate the phrase and/or. It looks like you were lazy in your writing and didn’t care enough to write out the entire thought. • To quote Ross Geller, you’re means you are. Don’t use it unless that’s what you mean. • Same goes for it’s. Only use it when you really mean it is. Otherwise, it’s its. And we grammar people are serious about that one! • Why say utilize when you can say the simpler and more precise use? Just a question.
