A Few Things We’re Loving as We Head into Fall

We end most episodes of The Bookery Podcast with a few Bookery Bests, so today, we’re sharing a few things we’re loving as summer fades into fall.

A skillet with baked pasta and greens sits on a wooden board, surrounded by eggs, lettuce, and a towel on a gray surface.

Frittatas

For some reason, frittatas are really in season right now, at least for us. Frittatas are kind of like crustless quiches and can be adapted to fit your favorite flavors—or, if you’re like us—whatever happens to be in your fridge. Most recipes start on the stovetop and finish in the oven, meaning while your frittata is finishing up, you have time to pull together a quick green salad, and dinner is ready! Try this recipe.

Tineco Mop/Vac

Keeping your house clean and organized is a fulltime job, and one of the tools we love the most is Tineco’s cordless mop vac. Great for tile, laminate and hard floors, this mop vac vacuums up dirt and debris and uses water (and cleaner, if you’d prefer) to mop the floors at the same time. It’s a time-saver that keeps your floors looking great with only a few minutes of work! We like this one

Yellow mug of soup topped with sliced green onions, on a wooden table with soft light creating a warm, rustic ambiance.

Soups

Summer is slowly fading into fall, and we’re ready to celebrate the changing season with easy soups that make the most of end-of-summer veggies and offers a light dinner option. Chilis and hearty stews will be here soon enough, but until then, you’ll find us enjoying corn chowders, vegetable soups and the tried-and-true tomato soup and grilled cheese combo. We can’t wait to try out this recipe

Nourish

Eating healthfully is important to us, and, sometimes, you need a little help knowing what that looks like. The Nourish app has been really helpful for our founder, Mandy Crow, in knowing what a healthy lifestyle looks like for her. Nourish pairs you with a nutritionist/dietician whom you meet with as often as needed and works with your insurance carrier to cover those meetings. Together, you design a plan that works for you (including calorie and macro goals, but also exercise and other goals), and you use the Nourish app to track your progress. It’s helpful to have someone to talk to about your struggles and recalibrate as your nutritional needs and goals shift. Learn more.
