So the great DFW adventure turned out to be more of a regular day at the airport. Since Suzanne, Natalie, and Emily were beginning the 10-hour drive back to Missouri early this morning and were already dropping someone else off at the airport, I tagged along. Which means I arrived at 9 a.m. for a 9:35 p.m. flight.
As luck would have it, my jaunty hat and pleasantries with the guy at the American counter seemed to work some magic. I asked if an earlier flight was possible; he said yes, got me on the 10:10 a.m. flight to BNA, and shouted out my gate number as I walked away. It didn’t matter that I now only had about 30 minutes before I was supposed to be boarding my plane and had to get on the train to another terminal. I got there with enough time to grab some coffee (thank you very much, Natalie!) and hop on the plane.
Where I promptly sat in the wrong seat and felt like an idiot.
Oh, well, I got home around noon, actually got to eat with my ‘rents who stayed at my house for some unknown reason while I was gone, and now I get to take a nap.
So don’t call. I will beat you up. And don’t doubt me. I can do it!
