Wednesday Dispatches

It’s Wednesday. I’m lethargic. So this is what you get! 🙂

• My Spanish calendar gave me such a helpful phrase today—oops, yesterday—I’ve got sand in my bathing suit. Now, I know how to say that in Spanish. You know, for all those situations in which that phrase is vital.

• DecembeRadio is coming by for a meet ‘n greet tomorrow. I get to interview them afterward. Any suggestions for random questions to ask in the “ec 5-Minute Interview”? (BTW, I think they grew up listening to Skynard)

• I’m way past obsessed with my blog stats. I love seeing how many people visited every day and what they clicked on. And it’s cool that I’ve got readers all over the place. I’ve gotten hits from Europe and have some committed readers in places I’m pretty sure no one I know lives. So do me a favor and introduce yourself in the comments section. I need more friends. Because I’m a loser.

• I only have to work today and half of tomorrow this week. Then I’m off for a bit of fun: a Cards game in StL on Friday and hanging with the fam. My sis-in-law had to go to the emergency room yesterday (dehydration), but she and Eli appear to be OK, so hopefully, they’ll get to come to the game, too. Life lesson: DRINK MORE WATER! It’s good for you!

• My friend Brandy posted about her decreased mental capacity the other day. Proof of mine? I left my front door—door and dead bolt—completely unlocked all night long. Yep. To further cement my stupidity, I’m hooked on this who has the bigger brain game on Facebook. . . and I’m an idiot, apparently. If a whole section of the test wasn’t on math and was, say, concerned with vocabulary, I’d be doing better. It’s quite the blow to my self-esteem.
