If you’re looking for info on what’s going down at the upfronts (tv networks presenting info about fall lineups to advertisers), check out this link for a look at the fall schedules. It looks like my favorite, “The Office” will move to Thursdays at 8 p.m. (central time!), probably squaring off against “Grey’s Anatomy,” which I still love because of my devotion to Patrick Dempsey, but agree the show is slipping. Talk at this moment is that Lost will move to Tuesdays. . . . .but ABC hasn’t released its actual, for-real schedule yet.
If you’re a television addict (which I obviously am), here’s your new best friend. This site cracks me up with all the snarky comments about my favorite shows, although they get a little too carried away sometimes and I have to replace the not-so-nice words with loud “bleeps” as I’m reading.
News sources are reporting that ABC will pick up “Private Practice,” the “Grey’s Anatomy” Addison-focused spin-off. (There’s also news that they are picking up “Big Shots,” a pilot involving Dylan McDermott and Michael Vartan. Yum!) While critics widely panned the Addison spin-off, I found myself liking it. It reminded me of the good ol’ days when Grey’s was good. You know, when Meredith was dark and twisty but not beyond the point of saving.
“American Idol” will have its finale on May 23. For once, I don’t really care who wins! (I’m just glad that Sanjaya and his crazy antics are gone. But the mockability of the show has dwindled since his ouster.
That’s it for today. Remember to tune in to NBC on Thursday for “The Office” finale. I don’t think I”m going to get the Jim-Pam resolution I want, but I do think it’ll be good. (If not slightly painful and embarrassing since Michael Scott is a character on the show!)
