Read & Ponder
Read John 1:1-18, focusing on verses 1-5 again this week. As you meditate on these verses, use these questions as a journal prompt:
What do verses 1-5 teach you about God?
What do you learn about Jesus in this section of John 1?
What do these verses teach you about salvation, about the goodness of God’s plan?
Why is it important to recognize that God’s plan of salvation through Jesus was not an afterthought or a Plan B after Adam and Eve sinned? How does this passage help you to see that?
Consider verse 5 again this week. How can you see the light of Christ shining through the darkness of this world? Of your life? How will you praise God for that today?
