Ponder the accounts you’ve read this week about John the Baptist, his birth and his ministry. John served a vital role in pointing the people to Jesus. Who has served in that role in your life? Are there particular people in your life—living and those who have already passed away—who have helped to point you to Christ. Write a prayer thanking God for their godly influence in your life.
