So I got tagged on this bit of trivia somewhere in the world of MySpace and thought I’d actually post it on my blog here rather than there. (Most of you are in awe that I actually checked my MySpace page!)
The rules are: once you have been tagged you can’t be re-tagged. You have to write a blog with 10 weird, random things, facts, or habits about yourself. At the end of the blog, you chose 10 people to be tagged and list names. Don’t forget to leave a comment on the 10 people’s page that says, “you are tagged”, and to read you latest blog.
1. My name is actually Mandy. Not Amanda, just Mandy. My parents knew that’s what they were going to call me, so they named me that. I’ve often threatened to bring my birth certificate to prove this to people who can’t grasp the fact that I’m not an Amanda.
2. I supposedly only have one tonsil. The doctors removed one when I was about 2 and did a biopsy because my tonsils were growing at vastly different rates, and it freaked them out.
3. I own a pair of cowboy boots and wear them.
4. I am easily embarrassed and get embarrassed for other people. When this happens, I usually pick something in my lap and stare at it intently, secretly hoping this moment will end.
5. When I can’t go to sleep, I make up stories in my head. I sometimes daydream about these stories when I’m stuck in a boring meeting.
6. My middle name is Marianne for my grandfather, Marion. Except on my birth certificate, where it’s just an M. So I guess my middle name is M, like on James Bond.
7. Although I’m a reasonably intelligent person (most of the time), I become speechless (really!) and bumbling when a cute guy tries to flirt with me. I’m also incredibly shy, so most of them give up after a few attempts.
8. I chopped cotton to earn money a couple of times when I was younger. Don’t ask my mom about it. She’ll tell you these embarrassing horror stories about me crying, bringing Barbies to the field, and drinking all the water. Don’t believe her, even if they are true.
9. I still remember most of my Cabbage Patch Kids dolls’ names. I don’t remember specific memories from high school that Jason and Misty bring up, but I remember my childhood dolls’ names. Weird.
10. I’m a better passenger than driver. It makes me nervous to be responsible for large numbers of people in my car, so if I can, I usually try to persuade other people to drive.
Tagging: Brandy, Kelly, Mindy, Brandon, whoever else feels like it 🙂
