So I woke up at 5:33 a.m. this morning. Not a big deal for most of you who would (and rightly so!) roll right over and go back to sleep. Not so for me, who gets up at 5 a.m. Waking up at 5:33 a.m. means that I’m already 30 minutes behind schedule and won’t be doing my Bible study time before work. It also means that I might possibly be late. Or because of my hurry, be forced to eat birthday cake for breakfast. Yes, forced! The good news is that although I stepped out of the shower around 6 a.m., I was ready to go by 6:30 a.m. If you could see me, you might beg to differ with that statement, but this is the best I could do today. Us old 30-year-old people. . . we’re fighting a losing battle every day just to get to work with the same shoe on both feet!
Did I tell you that I saw Cesar yesterday? Well, I did. Don’t remember that story? Go here and here. He’s even got his own category on the side of my blog page, I think! Anyway, I saw him at his new place of employment, Qdoba. And I think he thinks I am a stalker—which I am (right, Brandy?) just not to him! He said these words to me, “It’s funny. Wherever I work you show up.” So basically, I’m either a stalker or his destiny. I’m not sure how I feel about either. And for those of you who’ve met Cesar, he’s wearing glasses now. Sorta Sarah Palinish glasses.
I’m currently drinking a cup of Bongo Java’s Mystic Brew. I ordered it from Plumgood Food, which delivered to my house yesterday! (Yay, I have milk and some chicken and a few groceries in my fixed fridge now!) To Mystic Brew I give two thumbs up. But it could be that I was just sad because I completely ran out of coffee in the house last week but refused to buy groceries because I was going to be gone to Baltimore and really missed my coffee. But now that coffee has returned to its rightful place in my home, all is well in the world. I think. I heart coffee.
Have a good day, guys. If you’re in Nashville, join me and some others for dinner for my birthday. I think we’re doing Mexican/TexMex. Imagine that! 🙂
