Recipe: Breakfast Pizza

Looking for a simple and delicious recipe to kick off a relaxing weekend? We’ve got you covered with this tasty (and fairly easy) breakfast pizza recipe that’s sure to become a family favorite comfort food! 


Breakfast Pizza Ingredients

  • 1 can (10 oz.) refrigerated biscuits

  • ½ pound bacon slices

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 1 ½ cups milk

  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • ¼ cup chopped red peppers

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • ¼ cup sliced green onions

  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper

Breakfast Pizza Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 9x13 baking dish by buttering it or spraying with nonstick cooking spray. 

  2. On a lightly floured surface, separate biscuit dough and arrange side by side without overlapping. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a 14x10 rectangle. 

  3. Place the prepared crust into the pan, patting the edges up the sides of the dish. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from oven and set aside. 

  4. Cook bacon in a single layer in a large skillet and cook over medium heat until crisp. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate. When bacon is cool and drained, crumble into pieces and set aside. 

  5. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. When melted, whisk in flour, salt and pepper. Cook and whisk until smooth. 

  6. Gradually whisk in milk, cooking and stirring constantly until the gravy thickens. When thickened, stir in cheese until melted. 

  7. Spread the sauce evenly over the biscuit crust. 

  8. Sprinkle crumbled bacon, sliced green onions, bell peppers (and anything else you’d like to add) over the crust. 

  9. Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes until the crust is golden brown. 

  10. ENJOY!
