Morning Wake-Up Call

Question: It’s barely 7:30 a.m. Eastern time. I’m in Pittsburgh for work and don’t have to be anywhere until 8:45. So why am I awake?
Simple, I can’t sleep anymore.
It’s one thing to just naturally wake up early. It’s a whole other thing to continually wake up at the time your alarm generally goes off even when you DON’T want to. Like on Saturday mornings. Or say, oh, today. Granted, I haven’t really gotten out of bed yet, but still, I’ve been waking up and sleeping lightly for about an hour now.
I think this is a sign that I am getting old. And I’m WAY too young for that!
(But, I will say that my first night in the hotel was great. I actually slept well, which usually doesn’t happen for me on the first night. And I’m so in love with the pillows here that I might move in. Now if I could just get used to the sun not rising until 7:00 a.m. . . . )
(And guys, remember how I said my life is full of awkward moments. Well, there are also awkward people. A fellow exhibitor caught me playing with a baby last night, playing peek-a-boo. Well, he now calls me peek-a-boo. And he’s a little creepy. So let’s try to keep a buffer zone between him and me today, OK?)
