Launching this fall, “Tiny Theologians” is a theology-based podcast created specifically for children
We believe deeply in the value of reading and meditating on Scripture, knowing it is useful for “teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Tim. 3:16-17). So when we discover a resource that we think will help you build a love for the Bible and biblical literacy into your family’s life, we want to make sure you know about it.

So today, we’re highlighting “Tiny Theologians,” a new theology podcast aimed toward children that’s set to begin this fall. Part of the “Training the Church” podcast network, “Tiny Theologians” joins some of our favorite theology podcasts such as “Knowing Faith” and “Confronting Christianity.” But “Tiny Theologians” is a little different than these podcasts, since it’s created specifically for children.
“Theology is what we know and believe about God,” said “Tiny Theologians” founder Amy Gannett on a recent episode of “Knowing Faith.” “A theologian is really anyone who wants to seek to know God through his Word—and he invites us, invites children, to come and know him through his Word and grow in loving and knowing him.”
The podcast adds another layer to the Tiny Theologians resources Gannett and her team have been creating for years. Amy and her husband, Austin, met in seminary, but discovered a lack of theologically rich training tools designed for children. So, the couple set out to create their own. The result in the Tiny Theologians line, which includes card sets and coloring sheets, workbooks and more, all designed to help children and families dig deeper into Scripture as well as theological concepts such as apologetics, attributes of God, church history and more.
“We train children in theology, discipleship, biblical literacy and in church history,” Gannett said. “We want kids to read Scripture and know what they’re reading, know who God is and articulate some of those key doctrines of the Christian faith, and then know where they come from, know those who’ve come before them in church history. It really does lay an amazing foundation for the life of faith.”
Set to launch in the fall and found wherever you stream podcasts, “Tiny Theologians” is geared toward kids from preschool through early elementary school. The first two seasons will follow the Tiny Theologians’ ABCs of God’s Attributes (there’s a card set available for purchase in the Tiny Theologians store) and help families study and talk about God’s character and how it affects our faith. Each episode will follow Tory and TJ and detail their adventures—through which they learn important truths about God.
Season 1, launching in September 2023, will focus on letters A-M of the ABCs of God’s Attributes, while Season 2, releasing in January 2024, will highlight N-Z. A custom song is being written for each episode.
“My favorite element of the podcast is that we have a worship pastor who is near and dear to my heart who is a good friend but also incredibly gifted in writing jingles and songs,” Gannett said. “He has created a jingle for every attribute for every episode of the podcast, so kids are going to walk away with a memorable song that tells them about who God is.”
