Into every life a little change must come

Change can be good.
Especially when it’s a brand new 24-inch iMac at work.
We’ve all been excitedly waiting for ours to be installed since we first received word of it about a month ago. Last Thursday, our tech guys came to install mine, but had to wait until the next day because I don’t have a standard install. (I have iLife on my computer, mostly for iMovie which I’m trying and failing to learn. I am not a good movie maker!)
I wasn’t here on Friday, but when I walked in this morning, I was overjoyed to see the big ol’ computer on my desk. It’s a LED screen, which means brighter and it’s so big I might actually have to start sitting further away from my desk. All that said, the new computer is AWESOME!
The bad part? The change I didn’t like? Having to locate all the little things I used to have on my old computer that seemed to be missing. Like the iCal calendar I set up with the magazine’s blog schedule. Since I share this calendar with my team and use it to inform them of blogging assignments, it’s pretty much imperative that I have it. It’s not written down anywhere else! I just spent a stressful 15 minutes searching for it, only to find it tucked away in a production folder on our work server. And I’m fairly sure that I put it there. The thing is, I don’t remember it. At. All.
I really think it’s sad that I’m losing my mind at age 30. Sad, sad, sad.
