For the love of God. . .

In an attempt to be a better member of the blog community, I’ve decided to post something every day this week. Well, at least Monday through Friday since Compy recently passed on, and I currently have no home computer. (Come on January and the beautiful Mac I have my incentive bonus allotted for!)

Anyway, because of my new commitment, you guys get this beautiful piece of literature and raving:

IT IS 70 DEGREES! IN DECEMBER! OK, I know that weather in Tennessee is unpredictable, cold one day, boiling the next. I grew up in Missouri, so this is old hat to me. And while this is the South, this isn’t Florida! It’s not supposed to be 70 degrees merely 2 weeks before Christmas. I’m not asking for snow or sleet or anything of the sort. I’m just asking for a little frost in the mornings and temps somewhere around 40-50 degrees in the day, you know, the norm.

So please, for the love of God, let there be a bit of chill in the air, because this is killing my Christmas spirit. (An upside to this weird weather is that many people can’t wear their Christmas sweaters in this heat, so I don’t have to see all that glitz and sparkle and everything you could possibly use to symbolize Christmas all on one sweater!)
