Dispatches

Since the first coherent thought I had this morning upon waking up was, I hurt!, I imagine today’s post is going to be short and sweet.
(And the whole hurting thing. I can’t explain it. My whole body just. . .hurts. Aches. And if you start in telling me that sounds like achiness and probably sickness, I WILL come through the computer screen and kill you. OK, so that’s not possible. But I will not think nice thoughts about you.)
Anyway, “Dispatches.” I know you’re yearning for them!
• The Missouri Tigers have to play better in conference play. That said, was it really fair NCAA and Big 12 to send Missouri out to Oklahoma in the middle of the biggest snow storm in the last 50 years so that they had to shuttle between airports and buses for two days trying to get there, while Oklahoma State was off from school b/c of the weather AND practicing?
• I’m in a deadline nightmare at the moment. The magazine is supposed to upload today or Monday and so is a 176-page book/Bible study for girls I’ve been editing. It’s crazy, I’m tired, and it’s almost over. Until I do it again with another resource in a few months.
• Is it wrong that I’m secretly hoping for snow tonight that will cancel my early morning running plans and Upward games, but be fine for going to the Bluebird tomorrow night? I. am. so. tired.
• The guy who ran his car into the light post in my condo complex last week spent last night attempting to fix it. I attempted to act like I was not the person who called the police on him.
• I got my hair colored yesterday and am getting a haircut today. Why the two different dates? Well, two different people do each thing. . . and trying to get my schedule together with theirs was next to impossible.
• I sent my sister-in-law a video of Adam Sandler singing a song for Elmo on Sesame Street. When they watched it, they found more videos and she sent me one of Eli watching Elmo and some quacking ducks and . . . .quacking. It made my day. I might go watch it again right now!
Work is calling. Much to do and miles to go before I sleep. Happy Friday! Rest up, even if I won’t be!
