• It’s my last day of work this week. Being a Christian organization, we get Good Friday off and I for one need a day off!
• Speaking of work, we have to wear security badges at work. I had mine in my hand as I was leaving my house this morning. Or at least at some point this morning. But when I got here, it was missing in action. I tore my car up looking for it because I was sure that I had put it in the passenger’s seat. No such luck. Either I dropped it getting into my car or I left it inside my house. I guess we’ll figure that out when I get home this weekend.
• I’m sad Scott went home on AI, but also agree with the decision. He is a wonderful guy and very talented, but he’s not at the same level as the rest of the contestants.
• As a friend of mine wrote on her blog yesterday, I sometimes wish I came from a more “liturgical” tradition. Easter has snuck up on me this year, and I feel unprepared and out of sorts. I need the action of Easter purple changing to black, the somber commemoration of Christ’s sacrifice remembered in silence and mourning. I need the old, old story told to me again. I need to remember so that I can live abundantly.
• My nephew now apparently has a bib that says “I love my aunt.” That’s right, Eli! Your aunt loves you, very much!
• There’s a good chance tonight that I will actually cook! It’s been awhile. I wonder if my stove has missed me?
• There are two “Office” episodes tonight! One at 7 p.m. and one at 8 p.m.! Yay! I’ve missed Jim, Pam and Dwight. And I’ve been worried about Michael. Not like a lot. Or that I sat around musing and wondering what was going to happen to a fictional character, but I would like to know how they’re going to play this Michael-starting-his-own-company thing out. Because it isn’t Dunder Mifflin if Michael isn’t there. I’m just saying.
• I need coffee. So I’m getting off here to make some. I hope you all have a great day!
