Dispatches

So, it’s been awhile since there’s been a new dispatches. Life has been a bit crazy and overwhelming of late. . .but it’s back!

• In a strange turn of events, I am going to the Dove Awards tonight with my friend Rachel who got some free tickets somewhere. While I’m generally don’t listen to TONS of CCM, I do know some. And it should be a fun time. And I’ll be all dressed up!

• I don’t know what the deal is, but I think I *might* be addicted to McDonald’s orange juice. I don’t see how that’s possible, but I’ve gotten it on the way to work the last two days and I can’t seem to stop myself.

• I have a performance review today. Even though my boss is so low-key and easy to work with, I am nervous.

• I am dressed way too casually for someone having a performance review! I’m wearing my Cardinals polo and some navy pants that are made out of soft, cottony, felt-like material. But, since yesterday felt like Friday to me, I don’t really care. They’re just lucky I’m here today. Or maybe lucky isn’t the right word. I’m not sure happy would be either!

• We said good-bye to Lil and Anoop on “American Idol” last night. Which I called, by the way. I think Matt G. will go next, and then it’s a free-for-all, in my opinion. Adam, Danny, Allison, and Kris are all VERY talented. This could be a crazy season!

• My mom is going to come see me next week! She’ll be here on Tuesday (I’ll be in Michigan for work, but come back Wednesday) and I’ll get to spend all of Wednesday afternoon with her. I think she’ll leave on Thursday.

• I signed up to run a 5K yesterday. It’s the Music Row Road Race and proceeds go to St. Jude’s. I’m always up for helping the children, so I love that the fee goes toward that. Let’s just hope I run the race well! Headphones are discouraged, so I’m pondering how to keep my focus without my trust Nike+ and iPod.

• I’ve got much to do and miles to go before I sleep. So I better get started. Have a good day, all!
