Dispatches!

I am feeling random and unfocused today, which does not bode well for my work. I leave for Colorado tomorrow morning! Yay! So, as I prepare to get to work and continue to get excited about the trip, I offer you this edition of Dispatches. (You know it’s your guilty pleasure!)

• Yesterday, I cheated on Running by getting a pedicure. Yes, when I go to Colorado, there will be running and having pretty toes may not help me run any faster. . . but I needed pretty toes! Don’t worry. Running and I are reuniting around 4 p.m. today when I meet Alisha for a run. I’m think 3 miles.

• I was honestly surprised by the winner of AI. I figured Adam Lambert had it in the bag. The show was pretty good, though, even if it is WAY TOO LONG! But there was KISS and Queen and Jason Mraz and Rod Stewart and Kara showing Bikini Girl how to sing. And Mindy jumping off my couch when she saw KISS and Queen. And shouting, “I love rock ‘n roll!” Hee!

• My dog is vacationing in Missouri with the parents while I’m in Colorado. Last night was the first night without her. While having the entire bed to myself was great, it’s way too quiet at my house!

• If someone would come pack for me, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m usually an early packer, not a last-minute kind of girl. So who knows what I’ll show up wearing in Colorado. Brandy, I apologize if for some reason my quickly pulled together outfits scare or embarrass you!

• The Cardinals beat the Cubs last night. In STL. This brings me special pleasure since a Cubs fan I work with was at the game. That’s what you get, Scott! For trying to trashtalk the Cards with me on Monday!

• I have a lot to get accomplished today workwise, so I better go. Have a beautiful Thursday!
