Did that just happen?

I always park on the roof parking lot at work—mostly because it’s just quicker to get in and out that way. So the facilities people have tried their hardest to make safety a priority on the roof parking lot. There are orange fencing things (not quite cones, but the same idea) that mark out the lanes of the ramp, how to get through the gate, and a few that keep you from cutting too close to the parked cars as you make the first turn into the actual lot.

So today, the car in front of me completely demolished one of the orange coney things. Ran right over it. Of course, it popped right back up—and only looked a little flat and worn for its trouble.

And there I was, laughing in my car, pointing at the cone and the car in front of me. Did that just happen?, I asked myself.

The best part: the lady driving the car in front of me decided to act as if nothing happened. (Yes, it was a woman. This does not mean you can all make women driver jokes.) I think I rode the elevator up with her.

But it made me laugh, which is always a good way to start a Monday morning. Have a good week, all! (And comment. I’m feeling lonely. Oh, and I now have AIM, so check out my Facebook page if you’d like to be my buddy! OK, I’m gone now!)
