Big 12, is that like a lotto game?

So, Kansas won. My arch enemy.

Most of my small, hard, Jayhawk-hating heart hates the fact that they are the NCAA men’s basketball champions.

Then there’s that tiny bit of me that is happy a team from the Big 12 won. Because since I’ve moved here to SEC-land, most conversations I’ve had about the Big 12 have resulted in quizzical looks and genuine concern that there were conferences beyond the SEC. And so few people had even heard of the Big 12, I think they thought I was talking about a lotto game.

But I’m not. It’s a genuinely tough conference, people. Maybe now you’ll recognize that!
