And I wondered. . .

Sometimes, I find myself wondering strange things. So, I thought I’d share a few:

• Does anyone else ever wonder why the words “everyone sing” are in the lyrics of that praise song? Because the first time I heard/saw it, I thought those words were directions to the worship leader.

• Does anyone else ever wonder about the state of Paula Deen’s cholesterol levels?

• Does anyone else ever wonder what you dog/pet is thinking? Because sometimes, I’m fairly sure Muffin is plotting how to kill me. Or lick me to death.

• Do you ever wonder how some authors found publishers for their books?

• Do you ever wonder how everything seems to happen at once? For me, my life has been not all that busy and September is going to be crazy and October is getting that way. Here’s how things are going down, in chronological order: Heart concert, department meeting, Mindy’s birthday, cleaning house for company, big youth worker meeting at work for 3 days with extra duties, Jason, Amber, and Eli visit during youth workers meeting, department picnic, big event at church, more meetings at work, a possible mag planning meeting, whirlwind trip to Portland, Ore., my birthday, my grandma’s birthday, department meeting, fun with friends, travel to Missouri, Kings of Leon, trip to New England, and several more meetings and “other duties as assigned.”

• Why some people don’t cry when they watch “An Affair to Remember”? (I’m watching the end right now. He’s about to figure it out. I will be boo-hooing soon.) “The Way We Were” is starting on TCM now. I should probably turn the channel. I mean Venus is playing Clijsters at the US Open.

• I wonder if anyone besides me is sad that Dominick Dunne died and won’t be doing his show in TruTV anymore. I wonder if anyone but me obsessively watched TruTV, formerly known as Court TV.

• I wonder what would happen if I didn’t take a nap this afternoon. . . but I really don’t want to find out. So, I’m off to take a nap, while watching “The Way We Were” or tennis. Maybe both!
