A long day’s night

This week has been long.
I’ve worked late most days, trying to get the magazine somewhat back on schedule. On Tuesday, I worked until 5 p.m., hung out at Mindy’s for a few, then went to church for Ashley’s visitation. Where Mindy, Brandon, and I stood in line for more than an hour and a half. Wednesday included attending Ashley’s funeral, working from home, auditioning for a womens’ ensemble, and 1.5 hours of choir rehearsal, followed by the DVRed “Project Runway” finale and a new “Ghost Hunters” with Mindy and Rachel at my house. I didn’t go to bed until midnight (practically), got up at 5 a.m. on Thursday and started all over. Worked at desperation speed all day long, answered reader/student minister emails about the magazine’s redesign that made me leave late. . . then hurried to Cool Springs to buy makeup and get a haircut and color. (Yes, color. I can’t have gray hair just yet.) After all that, I hurried home, walked the dog, grabbed my Bible and went to Bible study.
When I went to bed last night, I was exhausted. So the fact that I don’t have to be anywhere until 8:30 a.m. (off-site girls’ ministry product planning meeting all day today) was much needed. And guys, it’s FRIDAY!
