A few of my favorite things

(Sorry to invoke thoughts of one of the more annoying songs from a musical I don’t really like—*gasp!* leave Sound of Music hate mail in the comments—I give you this beautiful post. Mock if you must!)

These are a few of my favorite things:

Flowers: sunflowers, gerber daisies, calla lilies, roses. In that order. Cookies: the chocolate chip ones I made following Brandy’s recipe, Cowboy cookies (a family fave), and my blondies. Because first they rock your world, then your face off. Shoes I own:

(so these aren’t quite the ones I have, but I can’t find a pic of them. Mine are black and white and CUTE!)

Places: hanging with the family, chilling with friends at my house, anywhere that involves coffee and/or music Sports teams: Missouri (b/c there’s only one Mizzou, according to the commericals), St. Louis Cardinals, and—wait for it, don’t throw things—Duke. (Well, let’s just say I’m more of a Coach K fan.) Favorite colors: This is actually a bad question for me. I love so many! Navy, brown, blue, pink, black, gray, red. Yeah, let’s just stop that right there. Shoes I wish I owned:

Favorite clothes: jeans, pajamas, jackets, especially my velvet blazer. Books: Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Black and Blue, Through Painted Deserts, cookbooks(!) Smells: clean sheets, baking cookies, popcorn Things about people: when they really listen and remember what I’ve said; “kind eyes,” honesty Day of the week: lazy Saturdays Foods: salad (i’m serious, don’t laugh!), Italian, anything in the Mexican family, breakfast food
