A case of the Mondays

Monday mornings suck.
That’s all I have to say.
Especially after you spent your Sunday afternoon driving 4 hours back to Nashville from Missouri. With a dog, a Dr. Pepper, and NCAA basketball on the radio. And then mindlessly watched “The Cutting Edge 3” on ABC Family for 2 hours when you got home. Why? I have no idea. It was very mock-able.
So welcome to my Monday morning musings of randomness!
• It’s St. Patrick’s Day. I actually remembered to wear green! In high school, you always wanted to wear green because the guys thought it was great fun to pinch the girls. Why in the world do we have a holiday that encourages pinching? • I get a day off this week, for Good Friday. My company really should consider letting us have a holiday between New Year’s Day and Easter. We all get a bit stir-crazy before we get a day off, and most of us are hording our vacation days for summer use. • I’m going to Yellowstone National Park in July. My dad was a summer ranger there for several years and if I’m going to see Yellowstone, I want to see it with him. So I’m probably flying to Bozeman, Montana, and meeting the parents. • I’m already behind on a Bible study that just started on Thursday. Wow. • For the first time in my life, I switched over from the Big 12 Tournament to watch the SEC games on Friday night. Mostly because Mindy alerted me to the weather issues. That was crazy! And scary! • I’ve got too much work to do. October 2008 story submissions to read and evaluate, then either send back for corrections or pay, September 2008 issue to begin editing, contracts to make and send out for the November 2008 issue. And cover tags for the July 2008 issue. I really should get off of here. • I’m ready for “The Office” to come back. When does it? • My grandma can’t remember where I live or what I do. I told her 3 times yesterday when we went by the nursing home that I lived in Nashville. She still thinks I’m in college. If that were true, this would be my 11th year in college. I would have died before I went to school for that long!
Have a happy Monday, y’all. And a good St. Patrick’s Day.
