Advent 2021
In the darkness, the smallest glimmer of light can change everything. This year, as we prepare for Christmas and the celebration of Jesus' birth, we'll ponder how Jesus entered into our darkness and opened our eyes and hearts to eternal hope.
Introduction
The light changes everything.
And the Light has come.

Reading Plan Overview
Daily devotions and journaling prompts will be published at The Bookery each day of Advent 2021. If you'd like to download an overview of the entire reading plan, it is available in PDF format here.
How It Works
Dark to Light, The Bookery's 2021 Advent Bible reading plan, is designed to start on the first Sunday of Advent, Nov. 28. Each Sunday through Friday will involve reading short passages of Scripture and meditating or journaling about that passage and the devotion. The daily Scripture passage and short devotions will be posted each day here.
Journaling
For us, a key goal of this Advent reading plan is pausing long enough that you can grow silent and attentive before God's Word—so that He can reveal more of His character and shape and form you. Journaling or meditating on Scripture—whatever that means for you—is a vital part of that. Each Saturday, make sure to carve out time to simply sit with what you've read, pondered and learned throughout the week and ask God how He would use it in your life.
